Former Arlington High School Varsity Head Coach to Receive Great Honor

"The Ed Burns Arena"

 December 28th - Veterans Memorial Sports Complex, in the town of Arlington, will rename its ice rink to "The Ed Burns Arena." In honor of former Arlington High School Varsity Hockey Coach Ed Burns. Ed Burns coached 50 seasons behind the bench at Arlington, coaching another 21 for the football team. As a hockey coach he had a .786 winning percentage with a record of 695-167-62. He retired after the 1996-1997 season. 

The dedication to Ed Burns, who will turn 90 next fall, will be held during the annual Ed Burns Holiday Tournament scheduled for December 28-29.
