The EJHL has suspended Philadelphia Revolution head coach Vince Malts for five games and suspended the organization $1,500 for actions taken during Sunday morning’s 17-5 loss to the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs.

Malts pulled his goaltender a minute or two into the third period, and never put him back in the rest of the way.

In accordance with current league policy, new EJHL commissioner Bob Mainhardt would not discuss the details of the suspension or fine. However, he said, “In my short tenure, this is the strictest penalty that I have enforced. Coach Malts did not act in a manner that is in accordance with EJHL standards, and we are not taking it lightly.
